Conference Rooms

The conference will be held in two meeting rooms in the U2 building at the campus of the University of Milano-Bicocca. The rooms for the conference will be Aula U2-06 and Aula U2-08a (here "aula" is the Italian word for "classroom"). 

How to reach Bicocca

By Metro: The closest metro stop is Bicocca on the M5 line (Purple Line), located about a 5-minute walk from the U2 building. For further information on the public transit network in Milan, check the ATM website.

By Train: The Milano Greco Pirelli railway station is only a 4-minute walk from the U2 building.

• From Porta Garibaldi station (also connected to the M5 metro line), suburban and regional trains to Greco Pirelli depart every 10–15 minutes and take approximately 6 minutes.

• From Milano Centrale station (Milan’s main railway station), the easiest route is by metro: take the M3 line (Yellow Line) to Zara, and change to the M5 line (Purple Line) toward Bicocca.

Metro tickets can be purchased at automatic vending machines, or simply by tapping a contactless credit/debit card at the station gates. Please note that standard urban public transport tickets are also valid on the urban rail network within the Mi1–Mi3 fare zones.

From the airport: 

• From Malpensa Airport (MXP): The Malpensa Express train connects the airport directly with both Milano Porta Garibaldi and Milano Centrale stations. Tickets should be purchased before boarding using the automatic vending machines or online. For more information, visit the Malpensa Express website.

• From Orio al Serio Airport (Milan Bergamo, BGY): Several shuttle buses connect the airport with Milano Centrale station. Bus stops are located immediately outside the arrivals area, and tickets can usually be purchased directly on board or online.

• From Linate airport (LIN): The fastest route is: take the M4 line (Blue Line) to Forlanini, and from Milano Forlanini station, take a suburban train to Milano Greco Pirelli. Alternatively: take the M4 line (Blue Line) to Sant’Ambrogio, change to the M2 line (Green Line) to Garibaldi FS, then take the M5 line (Purple Line) to Bicocca.
